NFL Week 9 Delivers Chaos, Comebacks, and a Wild Finish in Cincinnati
After a Week 8 filled with lopsided blowouts, NFL fans were craving some drama in Week 9.
They got more than they bargained for.
Several games came down to the wire — none more thrilling than the mayhem that unfolded in Cincinnati. And in the day’s marquee showdown, the Buffalo Bills held off the Kansas City Chiefs in a nail-biting finish.
Here’s what you may have missed on Sunday.
Bears Stun Bengals in an Unbelievable Finish
Sunday’s matchup in Cincinnati had more twists than anyone could’ve imagined.
With just five minutes remaining, the Chicago Bears held a two-touchdown lead, seemingly on their way to another convincing win while the Bengals faced yet another home disappointment.
But Joe Flacco wasn’t done. The veteran quarterback found Noah Fant for a 23-yard touchdown with 1:43 left, then converted a two-point try to cut the deficit to six.
Moments later, Cincinnati recovered an onside kick — thanks to a fortuitous deflection off a Bears player — giving Flacco and the offense one last chance.
They capitalized. Flacco led a rapid drive downfield and connected with Andrei Iosivas for a 9-yard touchdown with 54 seconds to go. The extra point was good, and Paycor Stadium erupted as the Bengals took an improbable one-point lead.

But the celebration didn’t last long.
On the ensuing drive, Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams hit tight end Colston Loveland, who slipped past two colliding defenders and sprinted 58 yards for a stunning touchdown with just 17 seconds left.
In the blink of an eye, the Bears stole back the lead — and the game — 47–42, leaving the Cincinnati crowd in stunned silence.
