More than 232,000 Pakistani citizens have successfully completed their online registration for Hajj 2027 within the first two weeks of the registration campaign, reflecting strong public interest in next year’s pilgrimage.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs launched the mandatory registration process shortly after the conclusion of Hajj 2026, allowing intending pilgrims to begin preparations well in advance.
According to official figures, around 175,000 applicants have registered under the government Hajj scheme, while nearly 58,000 people have opted for the private Hajj scheme.
The registration process is being facilitated through the Pak Hajj mobile application and the online Hajj Portal, enabling applicants to complete the entire procedure digitally without visiting banks or government offices.
Among the registered applicants, approximately 136,000 are men, while nearly 96,000 are women, highlighting widespread participation from across the country.
Authorities have also advised intending pilgrims to ensure their passports remain valid until November 26, 2027, as this will be a mandatory requirement for those planning to perform Hajj next year.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has stated that the Hajj 2027 policy, including package costs, terms, conditions, and other operational details, will be announced at a later stage.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has formally requested an increase in its Hajj quota to around 230,000 pilgrims for 2027, citing the country’s growing population. Saudi authorities are yet to announce the official Hajj quotas for next year.
